Barn wood furniture
Well over a decade ago we began designing and manufacturing barn wood furniture.
This line of furniture is made from what is known as reclaimed, recycled or virgin wood.
Perhaps no other native architecture better exemplifies the spirit of the American pioneers than their barns and cabins. These buildings, built with heavy timbers harvested from the virgin forest, were hewn to size by hand with the ancient broadax and adz. We prefer to use the term recycled or reclaimed. The material once was virgin timber, but that was a long time ago. We believe in the American Craftsman, and building heirloom furniture that is guaranteed for life.
At High South Furniture we believe that all our reclaimed barn wood furniture has a story to tell.
